STATINS DO NOT EXTEND LIFE FOR CANCER PATIENTS

Lawrenceville, NJ (Dr Simone) – For years it was thought that if you have a cancer and took a statin drug within the first six months of cancer diagnosis you would live longer.  But those studies were never corrected for statistical bias.

A new comprehensive statistically sound study reviewing 17,372 cancer patients found that statin therapy initiated after cancer diagnosis did not extend life.
