A study done in India by Chauhan and colleagues showed that patients with perennial allergic rhinnitis had marked improvement when they took antioxidants compared to nasal steroid alone: beta-carotene 20 mg/26,000 IU, ascorbic acid 200 mg, vitamin E 200mg/200IU, and selenium 50 ug .
